facts of life: places that change

Four years ago I came through Bialystok, traveling with my friends. The city looked gray to me, much like many others places around here. I did not imagine I'd come back so soon.

However, I almost didn't recognize the city, unlike the other places I had visited before. The city center was completely changed, there was much better infrastructure in and around the city, and I've heard some more details about the progress the city is enjoying.

When we were interviewed at lunch, I had to mention this to the reporter. He looked quite surprised, but for me, compliments are in order. If only European funds were properly used everywhere else...
