facts of life: i fully understand

I've written before about language barriers. Today there were none. Not even different accents. Looking at the white board in the lab and understanding virtually everything that was going on, spectral analysis included, is the kind of the thing that makes me feel at home, too.

I imagine this was not the case for most of the others, however...
